Hi! My name is Jennifer; I just launched my bra company this past year. I am signing myself up here on Maker’s Row as a consultant to beginner designers who want to get their clothing designs made. I first found Maker’s Row three years ago when I was looking for someone to bring to life my design. I remember when I first started out; I was working in a totally different industry and had absolutely no clue on how to go about getting my product made. I eventually found Maker’s Row and reached out to several different companies, individual pattern maker’s and manufacturers. It took me almost 2 ½ years to find the right people, the fabrics we wanted, and the right manufacturer who was going to be able to make our product. I remember how lost I was, how much people were quoting and charging me, thousands of dollars for product development, and how manufacturers dragged me along thinking that they were eventually going to make my product. People not taking me seriously. People taking advantage of me, etc. I eventually got my product made and my company launched in October of 2017. I want to help other beginner’s who are wanting to start their clothing lines or who are looking to get their product made. I was so fortunate to have a lot of help at the end of my product development. I do want to put my services up here to consult you if you’re just starting out and need guidance such as: Should I work with this manufacturer? They are telling me this, does this make since? What is that process like? What is a pattern, a sample? How many of these do I need to have done? I am being quoted _____ amount of money, is this reasonable? They haven’t returned my phone calls, what should I do? Where should I go for fabric? I also can connect you to a graphic design agency, great fabric sourcer, designer and development studio as well as and two small - large sized production manufacturers in South Florida.
