Compositions® is a designer of fine knits and better sportswear. Our garments are specially designed by our own Compositions® design team right in our New York Manhattan headquarters. Our designs are then carefully manufactured to the highest quality standards. Compositions® has now been in business for over fifteen years and during that time, we have established a loyal customer following both in the United States and in Europe. Compositions® was begun with the idea of "letting the customer create her own style to suit her own personality through our versatile designs." Compositions® products whether - separates, or an entire collection - work easily with favorites already in a woman's closet. At Compositions® our designers select fabrics and yarns that are comfortable, luxurious and beautiful. We give special treatment to our fine yarns of silk, merino wool and other fine blends. Our yarns are knitted in a particular way to achieve a good construction and drape, and a good-hand-feel. The result of our special care is that our knitwear looks good on women of all sizes, from sizes 6 to 18. In the early 1990's, Compositions® became known among our core customers as a high quality silk house with a large selection of finely designed silk knitwear. Today, Compositions® continues to produce beautifully made silk knit sweaters, and also produces intricate fine gauge jacquards, knit jackets, one-of-a kind full needle knit pants and skirts and novelty items. In addition, we continue our perennial favorites of high quality basics with beautiful colors and necklines.
